Care Ministries
AdvoCare
AdvoCare is a Faith Partner ministry that functions at St Mark’s. Faith Partners is a national nonprofit dedicated to equipping people of faith to serve with an informed, compassionate response to the risk and prevalence of addiction and related mental health issues. Members meet on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30pm at the church. We are a ministry team within St. Mark’s whose purpose is to support, assist and educate individuals and church families with chemical or behavioral addictions and mental health issues by providing resources and other support. Current members are: Jennifer Bohnhoff, Karen King, Rob King, Kirsten Kurtz, Jeff Richmond and Linda Ryan. We are under the tutelage of Rev. Eulish Moore.
Prayer Shawls
Our Prayer Shawl Team provides a little Christian love to go along with a cozy shawl. This group of knitters creates shawls for anyone who could use a little warming up. We are always looking for more knitters – beginners or those with experience.
Prayer Team
Our Prayer Team continues to be an avenue for fielding individual prayer concerns. On the third Sunday of each month, there are one or two prayer team members at the altar rail to hear the prayer concerns. You are welcome to come up before or after you commune. This ministry is truly one from the heart, sharing concerns, joys and sorrows of fellow worshippers. For more information, please contact the office at 402.359.2315 or Karen King.
Prayer Tower
When we hear of people in need our
Prayer Tower ministry kicks in, notifying members so that prayers for them can begin immediately.
Quilters
Those who love to quilt and serve others meet to enjoy a time of fellowship and produce some beautiful quilts for Lutheran World Relief.
